What you can bring to us

Our current Business Plan requires a continued expansion and we are currently looking for the following professional staff:-

Senior Commercial Litigation Lawyers with 5+ years post admission experience. You must be able to demonstrate a significant capacity for work, have strong Corporate Law and Business Law litigation experience, have had principal conduct of at least one Federal Court or Supreme Court trial, possess demonstrable opinion, pleading and affidavit drafting and writing skills, a reference from the commercial bar and demonstrate a commitment to professional development.

Junior Commercial Litigation Lawyers with 0-3 years experience. Preference will be given to lawyers with some Commercial Litigation experience, but you must at least have solid civil litigation experience. You will be required to provide your academic record and a minimum GPA of 5.25 and above is essential. You must also possess a commitment to professional development.

Planning and Environment Lawyers with 2-3 years or more experience, with moderate experience in planning and environment law. You will have a working understanding of the Integrated Planning Act 1999, all applicable Codes, and the various other provisions which regulate and govern local government, planning and environment and associated disciplines in Queensland. You will work within the Commercial Litigation Division.

Corporate Lawyers with 5+ years experience. We are seeking candidates at (or close to) the level of senior associate in a major firm, who have experience in corporate law, including advice to boards, public listed company operations, ASX Business and Listing Rules, the law and practice of continuous disclosure, fundraising under the Corporations Act, mergers and acquisitions law, appearance in the Takeovers Panel, representing persons who are the subject of examinations under the ASIC Act, and work of that kind. You will formally establish our Corporate Law Division, and will work with and report directly to the Managing Partner, Stephen Russell.

Commercial Property Lawyers with 5+ years experience. Candidates will be at (or close to) the level of senior associate in a firm with a strong commercial property practice. We are seeking lawyers with a significant capacity for work, a strong understanding of the applicable statutes in commercial property work, and skilled in the process of property contracting and conveyancing, including acquisitions, leasing, mortgage work, group titles work and residential development including green field sites. Successful candidates will be very good communicators, and have a capacity to facilitate transaction based property work effectively and efficiently. You will work in the Commercial Property Division.

Banking and Finance Lawyers with 3+ years experience. We are seeking lawyers with experience in banking and finance with at least three years experience in acting for banks and financiers. Candidates will be familiar with all aspects of corporate, commercial and personal financing instruments, will be effective communicators, possess strong drafting skills and will be able to execute instructions and facilitate banking, financing and security transactions, accurately, effectively and efficiently, and within the times required by our clients. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity of formally establishing our Banking and Finance Division, and will work with and report directly to the Managing Partner.
